So Why Does It Still Rage

The policy was wrong – too many
hands had dabbled in the making;
some pure and free of fiscal taint,
some with great restraint but loaded
guns, others gave with the one hand
and rifled in the till with the other.

And in the ask of it Big Brother merely
wanted to control the way education
was applied; the anarchy disguised in
a secular and free schooling was too
daunting, the idea that Jack was at
least as good as his master anathema.

It would come as no surprise this cause
célèbre was debated more than two
millennia ago – so why does it still rage?
