Warmer than yesterday, warmer tomorrow
(yes we know,) but the message received has
yet to reach air-conditioned brains concerned in
maintaining the status quo. They say, ‘we must
keep the economy under control – or bust’.
The spectre on our horizon is bigger than an
increase in heat, melting icecap and rising
tide; famine, pestilence and plague of biblical
proportions will crush facilities and swamp
streets with the bane of urban psychosis.
Mosquito borne diseases – dengue fever,
malaria, and viral encephalitis, are on the
increase – some in places where the pest
was unknown. Bacterial contamination in
the sea now threatens the food chain.
A rise in death rates is already evident – predates
arrival of commonsense; the veil on cloistered
thinking prevails, prevents real debate and our
governing mob prevaricates. And in the advent
nuclear energy won’t save you your bloody job!
