A dreary day with grey
in place of sparkling blue,
the greens resplendent
fill in distances
between the hills
now hung in shrouds
of softer clouds,
a gentle rain.
I look again, appealing
bronze in leaf,
rising newness sweet
to eyes seduced
by shades
of evergreen.
I am at peace –
lose ends mesh
replenishing
complete
serenity.
I love the rain.
