Humility Of Your Tears

Taking the beauty of this moment,
swaddling it in tissue paper, wrapping
that in bubble wrap – anxious lest a
mote of fragile, miraculous energy
escapes attention – even yet aware
it is a wistful hope – but what can you
do when such beauty is ephemeral?

Assured should the day, minute or
second never occur ever again
there will still be the bubble wrap,
the tissue, and hopefully within,
an indelible impression –
the sweet, everlasting
humility of your tears.
