Need to bake hot cross buns
for Easter doesn’t surmise
I’m devout anything unless
queue avoidance qualifies
I know I’d surely make as
good a bun as any baker,
and by adding glaze and
batter crosses earn reprieve
Tho’ it’s for you to say; I’ve
been crucified too long to
keep in mind exactly why
I am suspended here
But I recall a recipe for joy
maintains your need when
breaking bread is hands
which have been freed
