it rates as exceptional effort
hardly raising a sweat while
avoiding smallest commitment
yet guilt stays upfront and intact
can’t play that off a straight bat
nothing allays ambits pedestrian
how long did it take you blather
realising the game is up and
where’s the damning evidence
nothing’s there and nothing
changed you digress despite
efforts to maintain pretence
