Said I’d get back to it
a wringing wet sop of a book
which even plagiarised itself
attempting originality
didn’t make it though – too
much respect for the dead left
no room to shake starving
fleas from its mane
been bitten by contemplation
estranged of origins – victims
of self deceit chasing shadows
shouting extravagant names
