Easily Attainable

it comes down to the way we
identify ourselves, I suppose
we find more similarities with
ice-cream than bare anomalies

must be a damn sight easier
to lick one’s ass from a bowl
of misgivings than care less
about true aborigine origins

we’re preferentially pro-social
while the ice-cream flows, a
sane addiction with greater
advantage in mute acceptance

and sweet teeth aren’t prone
to self-aggrandisement, as the
saying goes, not while the best
ice-cream’s so easily attainable,
