Ageing Precedent
Is this the irony? Were we
better informed or less
perplexed before the internet?
Probably a question left best
to ageing precedents whose
memories aren’t too clear
But a good guess would be a
bit of each articulated in the
degree of literate inheritance
Claiming on its own you read
okay sustains belief in most
recurring fairy tales
Or in being one who acclaims
legitimacy in seeking benefit by
parading unclear differences
Until concupiscence scams
that read like failed grade III
education set the scenes
And that’s the irony – we
need be less to claim more of
what we already have anyway
