Rhythm

It isn’t absurd – and I know the
import of that word as well as a
few fine substitutes – but rather
a case of contextual utterances
to meld without crashing gentle
rhythm; in company of a great
metric beat its best if feet lead
without damning syncopation

At the end one can speculate on
what was meant by phrasing, an
obscure intonation or a term too
vague to ring assured bells, yet
if echoes sing on into silence –
why then, surely – all’s well
