Regained

Glad to see the US Presidential race ended; such
gravely hyped-up hysteria can’t be good to live
through – yet as fond distraction I couldn’t miss
implications. My friends – all those too wrapped
up in social media promotion of their candidate
with partial and unmitigated web page support
gave me good reason to thank Heaven I’m still
determinedly unaligned to party politics

So its smugness or sour grapes today. Friends,
you’re back from a wilderness few survive intact.
A win or loss doesn’t matter if the process made
unchallengeable sense; if you regain composure
enough to say that it still does, then everything’s
been regained
