Vista Denied, No Regrets

No regrets,
and no visual future as yet
– no view of what it may be;
this Vista of sad fact was trashed
with cheerless ignorance amidst
an overload of transient
links overlooked or
brooked as granted.

So rather than let an opaque
conspiracy of random events
deny your heart’s desire
you conspire with the comely
fire of software technology
hoping to see
the new era today
– and fail.

Ah, well, the idea was
doomed anyway,
your ISP heard the news
and sailed on to another
destination. Their view of
a new era is as far away
as it ever was.

Meanwhile, reinstall XP et. al.,
(and all associated bumph)
and pray that by 1 May
they’ll relent enough to see
Vista supported formally.

And try and
take comfort,
you’ve succeeded in staying alive
where others contemplated
suicide.
