Residue Of Self-Pleasure

Having experienced a
God-awful feeling that
SOMEONE
is listening

– Heaven forbid the
idea means more
than a vagrant
sense of relief –

just where does
the legitimacy,
or logic, come in?
Tossing off to the idea

you’re actually getting
somewhere is but a
gratuitous residue
of self-pleasure.
