Pearls
Let me say less fear of
contradiction or dissent
the only food that I’d
refuse would be the
pap of politicians
I’ve heard it said by
better men as sustenance
of eloquence; the words
inspiring sense of worth
are usually a mute consent
Give to those who lead
a freely sanctioned glory
and feed the rest who
carp and whine as pearls
cast-off to well-fed swine
