Clean Handkerchief

Unfolding a crushed handkerchief left
in shorts since washed, dried & neatly
packed in the clothes cupboard comes
closer to understanding – doubt does
not enter, nothing is more cogent than
original creases still being clean and
clearly evident; a governing purpose
and its intent were never foiled

It suggests bizarre dysplasia at first
but there’s less unforseen and unusual
apprehension than sheer amazement
explaining how minds’ work; was it my
idea or your thoughts kept pure for
the want of a clean handkerchief?
