hardly makes the grade
exchanging wasted words
condemned to gaudy dangling,
‘tis better left unsaid than
crudely wrung awry
although adept again
conjecture is connived by
due concerns; I care, I really
do – you see it clearly
in my eyes
the mind has little room
to be amazed by matrices
of someone’s bald-faced
indigence – admittedly exchanged
for chary favours
bear with me you say
I’m sure you will agree
there’s no debate in seeking
payment for compassion
frankly gifted free
