Somewhere there’s an irrefutable
clue as to what I was truly doing
when curiously side-tracked & sent
off on a wild goose-chase; am not
sure if geese were actually there
though hearing hollowly derisive
honking in the wings where I’d
expect them to be if they were
It may not mean I’ve lost the plot
as much as to facilitate awareness
one wasn’t allocated in first place –
a four-square revelation one has to
face when flirting with versions of
what you’d assumed was reality
