Crusty Bread


Crusty Bread
Crusty bread made by hand
and baked the old way is a
sure fire panacea – no-one
denies its redoubtable size
or ageless presence, this is
a loaf to draw eyes hungry
for treasures resting where
promises are reliably paid


There’s wise tradition in each
slice buttered with credibility,
it says we’re what we eat in
a sagacity of hand-made and
oven-baked crustiness that
never really leaves
