So these are doubts after certainty
has paved the way – a niggling few
you like to think if asked, describing
them as inconsistencies when larger
things are set in stone, unchanged it
seems, until the past begins to fade;
now is it caused by nascent qualms
or simply flawed & failing memory?
If doubt is raw reality to be aloof of it
denies its substances have time and
place; there is no hope escaping that
corollary as space it occupies within
your consciousness implies it merely
fills a vacancy you’ve let for free
