Now we’re supposed to believe there is no
‘hidden’ agenda, the payback list planned
is empty and crows on the lawn are merely
bystanders; hardly seems credible after an
campaign of odious death threats veiled in
honorific battlefield churns – the reprieves
offered respectfully spurned by aggrieved
who unsubtly inter themselves
It ain’t dead and buried when crows pace
the graveyards fresh with leavings – there
are no better arbiters of change; they wait
on new feasts about to be heaved into the
political wastelands, victor’s fiscal games
that surely pay the best dividends initially
