Ideas of cooking rice first thing
isn’t idling – far from it, there’s
planning implied, & comfort of
future views; a day away there
will be reflection on the recent
rush of focussed catering – we
are less populated but not lost
to economies denying seclusion
Standing back from metaphoric
heat rests easy with me, I am
neither starved for attention nor
challenged being alone; in a way
it is rest and resuscitation, and
a chilled rice bowl wisely saved
