Seeing Less

Too late for recriminations we’d guess, they
don’t always work like intended; as lavishly
applied treacle fails to soften sour grapes of
hardened resolve it’s a case of a negotiable
impasse in an atmosphere of raw denial, but
before impact; sure, every flight of fancy is
a one-way ticket to a bumpy landing, albeit
eventually a runway is pronounced clear

That is the case in this dilemma, we’d learn
more about flying if we let pretensions flee
& trust in integrity, it isn’t about me or you
really, just the way we’d like to guess we’re
knowledgeable about each other; the more
we believe in that then the less we observe
