Admitting it is more than just a passing phase
suggests there’s wisdom there, insight gained
by being aware of prejudiced views on issues
larger than one’s ego contemplations – a rare
advantage, but you’ll likely waste it anyway –
you have to be fair parsing it into wages; and
that isn’t easy, so, okay, it’s just a mild bout,
wee bit of depression, but no worries per se
Now we are where we can see it is depression
sitting on your shoulder – and you want to say
it isn’t as bad as you’re making it seem; whoa,
we’d have never known if you had not been so
open and honest – only concealing an inability
to not be miserable about being depressed
