Third Test

You’d find the heroes here I’d say, not be
borne aloft by herdish histrionics of dork
prejudice; while left an ‘impossible’ chase
on a cracked wicket with even less space
you’d imagine possible to play any shots
in confidence - the Brits just got on with it.
WACA’s a reputation few’d suggest be
taken lightly on any 5th day

Two tests down and the third all but won -
except for a pommie tail-end who hadn’t
heard they were done & dusted - & thus
display amazing grit and patience, aided
by bowling failing to contain their flair - if
it’s a way of bared dedication, & Stokes’

maiden test century, a spectacle making
a day to remember; we couldn’t rub any
Brits noses in ashes of how they played
a game our bad mannered commentary
team (dyslectic to a man) had boasted
and declared we’d won yesterday

England, 6/332 at lunch, target 504,
with two sessions to play - were all
out for 353. Australia regains The Ashes
