when a manner of inner meaning breaks
the surface we’re caught between where
organic sufficiency intervenes and those
aching pains not neatly hidden away; its
too late to rephrase whose substance is
dramatically on display here - it won't go
away easily, and when it does scars will
remain like a plague of failed restraint
agreeing vague belief isn’t referenced to
the question whether you’re powerless -
you know that already, or it’s an attempt
to ease inevitability as passively phased
and orchestrated passages of change
