End Of Eternity
the days spent gazing at the void
where timelessness was lost are
more not less a gesture of futility
the cost of permanent dismay
fifty years until the end – just time
enough to lend a bibliography of
thoughts for all mankind to share
as if there’s something there
time enough to rue what’s lost but
not to mend eternity – see anxious
error in our ways as deathly games
of those engaged in Prophet’s play
and on the morning of your death
you view in emptiness your gain –
the pain of lucid Heaven where an
Earth like this was never made
