A truce declared on carbon futures
failed politically and wasted years –
that selfishness has bloomed again
preferring native greed is not a new
or novel view in happenstance; why,
indeed, we’ve all collected seeds and
planted them in times when plenty
seemed to be the going rate
But here today the cost of staying
fixed in place is greater than the pain
of change – regardless what you say
on carbon tax for fuel, the more you
use the more you’ll HAVE to pay ‘tho
we’ll ALL wear its consequence
