Unravelling

thinking-monkey

Sense of permanence went West
not in an unseemly rush – more
like a slow leak of air

Goose bumps first, then stumbling,
an inchoate unevenness of
quaking gait

Refreshing fears almost forgotten
dressed long since as old
wounds of conscience

Ending sagacity – jurisprudence
of duality, paired commonness,
unravelling its logic

  1. Our (Western) culture is full of "awareness" and "commonness". On the one hand, it is something good, but on the other hand - didn't we lose something important? Good poem.

    1. Thanks Zim. Kind of like finding oneself without having to wade through a 'thesaurus' of other's ideas!
