Can you imagine it – actually succeeded
in booting the laptop without seeking an
internet connection! In a pair of reading
glasses preceding the advent of portable
computing, or at least before its serious
contemplation, of a pretentious few who
were claiming or pretending networked
inclination before the World Wide Web
But this is today after a weekend where
chainsaw activity ate a pair of multifocals
rendering this peon short of vision, a not
exactly unfamiliar occasion which got me
thinking comfort zones too easily gull us
into believing we’re top of the tree
