‘Debtonation’

We’re going to be mining uranium in QLD real
soon and not because our sense of decency’s
decomposed to where we don’t see U238 as a
threat – easier to wisely choose whom to sell
to than impose caveats on use – no, concern
is who pockets the profits; in the long run we
all pay for excess, $$$’s obfuscate processes
of distinguishing the good wood from trees

To some of our politicians it’s wholly a matter
of popularity – hey, see this boost I brought
our economy, remember & vote for ME next
poll; now, while traditional landowners gain
truly heartfelt commiseration they’re certain
to be screwed anyway – still lose control
