Jafa-ism

The Canterbury team celebrate winning their third ITM Cup in a row..ITM Cup Final, Canterbury v Waikato, 5 November 2010, AMI Stadium, Christchurch, New Zealand..Photo: Rob Jefferies / www.photosport.co.nz

So not being a Jafa (no – pure as any
born below the 37th parallel) nor worn
in embrasure of egocentric emolument,
Auckland’s coming second in the 2012
ITM Cup final was tolerably brilliant

True, don’t like Canterbury either – but
happier to construe it a victory worthy;
Auckland coming second to anyone is a
commendable occasion, it’s what being
in the other 69% really means

So don’t get too loquacious about what
matters when home teams battle out a
provincial advantage – in the final tally
no-one’s blamed but bloody referees –
who come from Auckland anyway!
