Current Trend

if it is looking for sympathy then there’s a 
silently symphonic chorus at back of it I’d 
guess, no point making this mess into an 
edict for change; hereabouts any gesture 
to alter anything is condemned as heresy 
until the image fades. We try to live in the 
present, which is the past, until it’s all but 
vague memories too faint to comprehend 

so asking for sympathy’s a neutral way to 
counter unlike loci of view - so if what you 
see differs in any way the case is proven - 
not in substance, surely - but where we’d 
ended agreed isn’t truly what we looked 
for in the first review of a current trend
