Beauty To Behold

It isn’t often that you get to see the game’s divine
glory expressed so expansively - and yes it’s still
Rugby where an oval ball’s held in hand, passed,
or kicked with élan, for runners dashing at speed
for the line. There’s this thing about scoring tries;
crowd-pleasers naturally but the team-lift it gives
is amazing & no amount of penalty goals milked
from static engagement pays the same dividend

Melees haven’t gone away either, & in an instant
the ball’s possession obtained within the heaving
pile of tangled bodies to be lofted into space with
intrepid panache to let the game flow again - and
where did we see it recently - why the All Blacks
v France RWC semifinal - a beauty to behold
