An anticlockwise circuit we were advised so
climbing the hill was revisited and we tried it
this other way, quite handsomely paying the
dues we’ll admit - so we were warmed again
within parameters colder winter days usually
mitigate; but science said we’d greet the sun
a whole lot quicker than on the regular track,
because we’d literally backtrack its rotation
Which took a bit of thinking & while climbing
the steepest part of the path - our breathing
stressed a mite ragged with tendons on fire
and th’ maths soaring into ether we’d never
lent any respect, actually remembered who
it was that did the rotating around whom
